Thank you to Victoria Selby for sending in pictures of her completed porch project using bracket #B-40. A great choice of bracket for the lines of her house.
I am now offering raw Redwood Old Growth and Burl slabs for woodworking. Living here in the middle of Redwood country, I run into some interesting lumber and wanted to put up something to allow people out of the area a chance to pick up some really nice woodworking stock.

Thank you to Beth B. in Ia., for sending in pictures of her beautiful Victorian and the address sign that I made for her. Beth and I agonized over this design and color and I have to admit…..not bad…..not bad at all. The basic sign design is signboard # SB-909 and can be found on our Vinyl and Wood Signs Section. Painted Lavendar and Plum with matching address numbers and lettering.
Thank you to Mark Williams for sending in a few pictures of his restoration project. Lots still to do but he has added Victorian arch brackets (style # Arch-2) that I made for him and made a beautiful railing….from scratch no less. Click the picture to left and notice how Mark painted his brackets with two colors……extra work, but the detail really shows. This is one I want to see when he is done. Thanks Mark….good job. (Mark wanted me to add the following: “Many thanks to my friend Sam, who gave me the posts from HIS old Victorian house” )

Not exactly Victorian, but over the years I have gotten so many requests for hand carved Redwood signs that I have put up a special section just for them. Very adaptable and they fit into our “Country” type woodworking so well.
Thank you to Rob Christian in New Jersey for sending in a completed picture of his restoration. We recreated his original brackets and center pieces. Click picture for larger view.
One of the things we do here at the Victorian Woodshop is re-create old worn out porch brackets for historical restoration. Usually I receive a tracing from a homeowner but occasionally someone goes the extra mile and sends me in one of the old brackets. As there is one in the shop now I thought it would be a good time to go through the process for those interested in keeping the look of their old brackets. This also comes in handy for picky towns with Historical Restoration boards that have to approve any work done.
NEW ITEM:
I receive many requests for items to go between Victorian Porch Brackets. This gives a unique look to any porch project. All are a full one inch thick and made from the same material used to make our stardard porch brackets. Shipped sealed and primered ready to paint. Any questions please give me a call…..Tom
Thank you to the Graces’ in Montana for sending in the finished picture of their project. Bracket #B-40. An nice clean look that softened the corners and good contrast of colors.
