BRACKET FRAMING INFORMATION VIDEO
To Frame....or Not to Frame.......it really is a matter of choice. As you can see by the example pictures adding a frame tends to make any bracket look "beefier" and might fit the bill for a porch or application that you want to add a stronger visual interest. And of course they are quite easy to install as I pre drill mounting holes on either end.
I bevel the edges and cut the joint at a 45 degree angle to give them a nice finished look. Caulking/sealer is applied to the edges where the bracket meets the frame as well. Frames add approx. 2 inches to the length and height of any of our standard brackets.
I generally make them 1 1/2 inches wide but can make them a different width on your request. Costs run generally around $12 per bracket.

We can also add framing support strips to our Bracket Buddies, Trim, and Adjustable Victorian Gables
